Andrew Del Vecchio





Andrew (Andy) Del Vecchio is a Writer Director and Producer with a work life of story telling that spans 22 years. From a live experience platform in tour guiding, starting and running Tasmania’s first and then largest backpacker tour bus to a medium change in 2006 to film making. Since completing his diploma in Screen studies, Andy has made films both Drama and Documentary for himself and for his business Doublesee Media, with clients including University of Tasmania, Tasmanian State Government, Media Corp Asia, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and The Tasmanian Early Years Foundation and has been nominated for and won National and International awards for films and Television and digital media campaigns. Andy has a steadily growing list of Television credits shooting and directing mostly mini documentary and he has written and been funded for a second draft feature film, One Last Set by Screen Tasmania. His first drama Collateral Damage has had regular Television screenings in Australia and New Zealand over 2013 -2015. His Feature Documentary Herein Lies the Tiger ( W/T) is goes into post production in 2018.

Andy also teaches Screen Studies at TasTAFE, Alanvale Campus in the North of Tasmania,  Diploma and Certificate 4 and is currently developing the new Certificate 3 course in Screen and Media.

Andy is currently a board member with Wide Angel Tasmania and has directed a Raw Nerve film in 2009 with Justus Neumann entitled Water- a poem which was nominated for two awards at the 2010 St Kilda Film Festival. Andy has also produced a 2015 Raw Nerve film, directed by Elli Iliades called Waiting for Angel
