I started as a playwright and my plays have been produced in Australia, on ABC Radio National and published by Currency Press. Together with my husband, Franz Docherty, I have co-written and co-produced several hour length radio documentaries for ABC Radio National one of which, Black Tuesday, about the 1967 Tasmanian bushfires, was nominated for a NSW Premier’s History Award.
My screenplays, co-written with Franz, have been funded by Screen Tasmania, Film Victoria and Screen Australia. Thunder, won the BOFA Best Screenplay Award, was a Quarter-Finalist in the Final Draft Big Break Competition and won the Lorne Film Screenwriter Award. In television, I co-created with Franz a six-part x 1 hour mystery drama series, Savage River, currently in development with Aquarius Films and the ABC. And I am in early stages of development on a television project, Family Arrangements, with Posie Graeme-Evans. As part of End Game this year I'm branching into new and shorter territory, developing a short-form comedy, which I'm super excited about.
